When you work on a family farm, that's pretty much all you do - work. So when your dad promises you a week long camping trip, where there would be no chores, and no cows, it's a pretty big deal. And when a truck breaks down, and Dad says he has to stay home and repair it, so it will be ready for harvest ... and your mom says you can't go alone ... well, that's pretty much how things work out on the farm.
But then along comes Aunt Wendy, who isn't actually your aunt, but who used to be your babysitter, and seems like more of a pal than anything else, and she says she'll go with you, so you still get to go.
And you're not thinking about the fact that she's only seven years older than you ... and a stone fox ... and not all that modest when it comes to camping with the kid whose diapers she used to change.
Neither of us anticipated what would happen when we spent a week in close quarters in a tent at a campground. She had this bikini, and it affected me, and she thought that was cute ... until she realized I had grown up ... and she finally found out she was in over her head.
We both were.
It was just one amazing week, in which I grew up a heck of a lot and learned a ton of stuff about women. I knew it was a once in a lifetime thing. I knew there was nothing we could do about how we felt about each other. I knew we could never be real lovers. She did too.
Turns out we were both wrong.
