Digitally re-mastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the Jazz vocalist. Released in 1970, Can't Take My Eyes Off of You continued a tradition that had been the staple of Nancy's late '60s albums for Capitol Records by taking contemporary compositions of the day and giving them her own distinctive treatment. The title track - Nancy's reading of the Frankie Valli & Four Seasons' hit single - was originally on her 1969 LP Hurt So Bad, receiving such strong US airplay that it was also used for the 28th album she recorded since 1959. Looking for a new approach, Nancy, long-time producer David Cavanaugh and Capitol Records hired the then-up-and-coming Philly-based production team of Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff to oversee her 1971 recording Now I'm a Woman. Working with arrangers Thom Bell, Bobby Martin and Lenny Pakula, the LP featured a mix of R&B-oriented songs (some written specifically for Nancy) and contemporary hits of the day such as 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and 'Make It with You.'
