Cat-A-Combs: Making Your House Their Home
WANTED Cool, Cozy—but CHEAP—Climbing Cubicles for Your Cat.
I have been down the same path . . .
A kitten joined your family and it needs a place to play . . . to climb . . . and to scratch—other than the furniture.
Pet stores have cat furniture, but the nicer ones—with levels and tubes and beds—start at $150. Even scratching posts wrapped in rope sell for $50 and up. Besides, the carpet used to cover everything is of low quality. Or they aren’t even carpeted inside. Or the look doesn’t match anything else in your house. Or they’re too tall. Or you like some features here and others there, but none of them have all the features you want.
So what do you do? Do what I did: Build it yourself!
Same path, another detour . . .
Plans would really help, but neither the library nor the hardware store had anything. Even the Internet turned up little on Cat Furniture plans. And how many people do you know who have built their own cat furniture who can give you advice?
Now, this is where our paths part . . .
MODULAR
Along the way, I got the idea to make my Cat-A-Combs modular. Modular means you can change it, at will, just for the fun of it—without blowing big bucks.
But there’s more. Modular means it will last through the seasons of your cat’s life . . . for the life of your cat. Modular means it will change with your cat as your cat’s needs change: •As a kitten, Cat-A-Combs is their first Climbing Gym. •As a cat, Cat-A-Combs is their Sleeping Den. •As an older friend, Cat-A-Combs is their Heated Haven . . . anytime of the day or night . . . whenever they need to feel warm and loved.
Cat-A-Combs is your Cat’s Home within your home—for all the seasons of your lives together.
