Excerpt: "I'm going to kick your butt!" one man cried, charging her.
Catgirl dropped into a defensive stance, eagerly waiting for him to reach her. She was going to go off on him! But then the other wrapped his arms around her from behind, pinning her arms to her sides. The other man's face light up with vicious glee as he closed, one fist already cocked back for a brain numbing punch.
"Dammit!" she cried, and flew straight up.
The dockworker who thought he'd caught her cried out as he too was lifted up, up, up. In nothing flat they were a good one hundred feet high. She grinned, feeling him tighten his hold. He had to be terrified.
"You're a dead man if you fall from this height," she said, and used all of her super strength to force her arms wide and break his hold.
"Aaaiiiee!" he cried, slipping away, hands trying to grab something on her, and failing.
Catgirl barked a laugh, did a loop and power dive after him. He was falling fast, but she was faster. Even so, she caught his flailing right arm just feet above the ground. It was too late to come to a complete stop before he hit the ground, but it greatly reduced his impact. Enough to save his life, anyway.
"You're welcome, bastard," she said, released his wrist and flipped in midair to bring her foot brutally into his face. The dockworker fell back unconscious. "Sleep tight."
The last man finally came to his senses and took off running. Catgirl dropped lightly to the ground and looked around. Seven men, six of which were moaning as they struggled to all fours. The last man she took out would come around in a few. She shook her head woefully, considering if she wanted to involve the police. Sometimes the cops were more trouble than she wanted.
