These cryovials are designed for storing biological material, human or animal cells, at temperatures as low as -196 degree C but should be used only in the gas phase of liquid nitrogen. The cap features a long skirt for easy one-hand aseptic technique, a super fast thread design allowing with only 1-1/4 turn, and a thread design that will not contribute to possible contamination. This cap also features an exclusive silicone seal fitted inside of the cap to ensure a positive seal at any temperature, even at the lowest of cryogenic temperatures. A specially designed lip inside the cap ensures a leak-proof seal for the Cryovial even at very low temperatures. The closures and vials are both manufactured of polypropylene having the same coefficient of expansion, which further enhances the leak-proof qualities of these vials at changing temperatures. Vials are provided with a white marking area for sample identification and can be color coded by using a Capinsert. The cryovial is compatible with most storage systems. Vials are sterilized by gamma radiation and are packaged in unique, tamper-proof, re-sealable safety-lock bags of 100 pieces. Autoclavable. Certified DNase, RNase, Pyrogen and DNA free.
