This is a special Kindle edition of the famous Clarke's Technical Studies for Cornet by Herbert L. Clarke. First published in 1912, Clarke's Technical is one of the most important books for brass players. Clarke emphasizes playing very softly to build technique, endurance, high range, flexibility, and elasticity of the lips and fingers. He also extends the range much higher than in the Arban's, taking the cornet (or other brass instrument) to concert F above high C.
We have notated every exercise in this book to be legible on your Kindle, e-Reader, tablet, smartphone, or PC or Mac or other device running a Kindle App. We have included all of Clarke's original comments which are still relevant more than one hundred years later. Although Clarke refers to Cornet and Cornet Players, this book is used by players of all brass instruments. Many players use portions of this book in their daily warm-up.
