The second title in Moonshine's Electronic Music Classics series, this 10-track compilation offers a commendable if brief primer on the dawn of the "acid" era, from Joey Beltram's "Energy Flash" to Josh Wink's "Higher State of Consciousness." Being that the distinguishing feature of the genre is the elastic rhythm sound of the Roland TB303 drum machine, there is a tendency for things to occasionally get repetitive.
