Cocobolo (Dalbergia sp) can be seen in a kaleidoscope of different colors, ranging from yellow, orange, red, and shades of brown with streaks of black or purple. The color turns deep orange red with exposure. It is a hard and heavy wood with irregular grain with a medium fine texture. Like most rosewoods, it has natural oils that give it excellent resistance to decay. Cocobolo is used for fine furniture, musical instruments, turnings, and other small specialty objects, excellent turning properties. This thin stock is cut to size from quality, kiln-dried stock. 100 percent clear and sanded on both sides. Dimensions are +/- 1/8". Grain runs with the longest dimension. Central America.
