Still Corners' full-length debut, Creatures of an Hour, glows with the delicate vocals of singer Tessa Murray and the atmospheric, cinematic influences of songwriter Greg Hughes. The London based four-piece combine the youthful tone of French New Wave and the unease of Italian horror into the free-floating grace of Creatures of an Hour. Recorded at Hughes' studio in Greenwich, Creatures of an Hour's ghostly guitar, distant organ and ethereal vocals form deceptively simple pop songs that linger long after, like half-remembered dreams.
