The Fantasy Football Black Book 2018 (Fantasy Black Book 12)
After the overwhelming success of both my 2016 and 2017 NFL Draft Guide, I began another year of player evaluations. Right away, a few things became abundantly clear to me. This was no traditional NFL Draft. This draft was significantly different for two main reasons.Â
1.   Franchise-type QBs in this draft
2.   Amount of historically good teams drafting high
This made the intrigue and the excitement even more for me as I dug into the evaluations and player fits for each and every player. Will teams with aging veteran QB’s begun thinking about the future? Will other teams attempt to move up to grab one of these franchise guys to set themselves up for the future? That remains to be seen.
But what we do know is this; this draft is stacked. Stacked in a very, very good way. But maybe your thinking to yourself, “who are you in this very large NFL Draft space?†And “why should I trust anything you say?â€
Well first off, I’m no former NFL scout, player personnel guy, GM or highly ‘in the know’ TV personality. What I am is a guy that has turned my love of football and scouting into a 5-year old hobby for myself. I’m a normal guy just like you, except that I watch college football tape for fun, and write pages and pages of notes on almost every single eligible player for the draft. Yes, you can say I’m a dork.
I also write my reports in such a way that everyone can understand, even the casual football fan. I don’t use fancy scout lingo or terms that make you wonder “what the heck is he talking about?†I’ve been doing this for several years now, and I’ve hit a lot more on players then I miss. I write for multiple publications and have been recognized by many when it comes to my draft evaluations.Â
This guide isn’t meant to be the most decorated, fancy, and professional-looking guide. It is a no-frills information packed profile of my personal evaluations of these players based on the college game film I have access to.
For those who have or haven’t bought my guide in the past, here is what comes in this year’s version of my NFL Draft Guide:
-   In-depth player profiles of 300 + prospects (most I’ve ever done)
-Â Â Â Best positional and schematic fits for each player
-Â Â Â Strengths and weaknesses of every player
-Â Â Â Where I personally would feel comfortable drafting each player
-Â Â Â Scouting glossary of terms used (New this year)
I can’t promise you that I’ll be right on all these players, but I can promise you that every single player in this guide I came to my own opinion about after watching the tape. I had no pre-conceived ideas about any of these players.
With that being said, I’m more excited than ever about this draft class. There is so much depth at so many positions, it is hard to find a ‘weak’ spot in this draft! I cannot wait to talk and see where all these QBs go. It’s crazy to think that this might be the strongest QB class we’ve seen in years! Come on and dig in with me on these players.
