Maya Krieger was just a couple of electives and one major project away from graduating from her journalism program at Central University—but for Maya, nothing comes that easy; and this time she has no one to blame but herself.
The project assigned in her Communications class was meant to be an easy final, one to get them used to interviewing people in the real world. They were meant to find something going on in the community and do a complete write up of everything involving that event. Well, no one had grabbed the most taboo subject in town- the Central Killer.
For the past eight years, the Central Killer had abducted girls from Central University and then after some time they would put the body back where they abducted the girl from. For the first few years of girls turning up dead, the police thought it was just random murders. However, the murders became more and more frequent and all of the girls had brown hair and green eyes. With one of their fellow students, Hannah Ackers, still missing, Maya takes it upon herself to take on the story of the Central Killer.
She never could have known taking on the story would make her plummet into obsession, becoming focused solely on figuring out who it was who was murdering these students. Before she knows it, she’s being stalked. Maya tries to brush it off, putting her, her roommate Danielle, and her unofficial-official boyfriend Cian in harm’s way. Maya had landed herself in the middle of this psychopath’s head games. How could she not see it coming? After all, she was just his type.
