The 6" Deulen Sharpener is the answer to putting an edge on your jointer and planer knives. The key is the two brass blade holders inset into the hardwood handle. These tracks hold the blades securely and at the proper angle. With a blade in each track, it is a simply a matter of holding the handle and rubbing the blades against an abrasive surface. We recommend abrasive paper in a progression of grits from at 120 to 400 grit for final polishing. It couldnt be easier, and proof is performance. Yes, when done youll be able to shave hair off your arm, but the real payoff is performance. This is so easy to do, youll no longer put off sharpening your blades, your machine wont work as hard, and your wood surface will be smoother. Have more than two blades, no problem. Dan has worked out a system of alternating the blades that takes just a little more time but yields the same fantastic results. Each 6" sharpener comes with written instructions, a hex wrench and a short how-to video.
