While I myself did not rise to the professional level for my own tools and skills, I was able to stretch out my "career" to have the opportunity to take advantage of so many situations as to build a baseball intelligence, as it were, for which I am very grateful. I have had the chance to design and direct baseball schools owned and operated by two MLB managers, one for the New York Mets and one for the New York Yankees. During that time, I worked directly with one of the most respected pitching gurus in professional baseball, a gentleman who served both as the Director of Pitching Development of the Oakland Athletics and the AAA pitching coach for the Yankees, and one of the most respected catching instructors in the country. I also directed hitting clinics alongside a prior GM for the Kansas City Royals. In addition, I have spent different periods in the baseball academies in the Dominican Republic, learning from and competing against the coaching staffs of the Cubs, Twins, Diamond Backs, Phillies, Mariners, and Astros. It is a perspective on baseball that is absolutely invaluable. In my experience as an instructor and clinician, I have worked alongside a current scout for the Royals, who also pitched for the Detroit Tigers and the Yankees, another pitching instructor who was an All-Star for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and multiple others, including those who played with the Reds, Expos, Rangers, and Phillies. I also served as the head coach of teams which produced a current pitcher for the New York Mets, another for the Toronto Blue Jays, a player who spent more than 10 years at the MLB level, most with the Atlanta Braves, and others who played with the Phillies, Mariners, Dodgers, Indians, and many who made it as far as the various independent organizations. And while I take no credit for the accomplishments of any of the individuals with whom I've been associated, I have learned an awful lot about baseball, the value of which I have had the opportunity to develop and grow through the thousands of lessons and sessions I have delivered. Now you too can benefit from all that I have experienced and learned.
Differentiating Between Linear and Rotational Hitting and Why It Matters is a concise e-book that explains the unique tendencies that distinguish a linear hitter from a rotational hitter. Within its conservative quantity of pages, the baseball enthusiast will read about how each can be identified by how the batter uses his back foot, how his hips react one to the other, and how the two significantly different tendencies determine where the launch point is positioned and the swing path is maximized. Perhaps even more importantly, every hitter will have a better understanding of why his mechanics work the way they do and will recognize when well-meaning coaches are suggesting changes or adjustments that will only make things more frustrating and know what to do instead. This resource is an absolute must-have for any hitter looking to improve his success rate, any coach who wants to serve his hitters more efficiently, and any parent who is currently spending money on hitting lessons. At this price, there is no better investment in your baseball future, or that of your players or your child.
