I am guilty of splurging on burgers and fries and chocolate desserts to my hearts content. I grew fatter and unhealthier and my cholesterol was rising by the day. I was out of control. And although we live in tough economic times, I was surrounded by plenty of healthy food that was growing around me for the taking, but I let them perish and go to waste.
Yes, I was a waster. I had to slap myself into action. So I challenged myself to eat on one dollar a day for one month.
This is my journal, of how I lost weight eating on a dollar a day, and how in the end, I became a healthier person and learned to appreciate the bounty around me.
