From a nondescript trailer park in Dallas (home of the eponymous doublewide) to the streets of Cancún, Boyd Tanner burns inside as he seeks vengeance for a vicious assault on his daughter.
After Boyd’s daughter is drugged and violated during a family vacation in Cancún, the family falls apart. Boyd knows exactly who to blame for his daughter’s and wife’s pain and suffering, but he can’t get law enforcement to take any action.
A chance encounter in his trailer park leads Boyd to Jamie Rodriguez, and the two become fast friends. Boyd shares with Jamie his plans for revenge against his daughter’s attacker. Jamie tags along when Boyd travels to Cancún to set his plan in motion.
Boyd is mindful of the “revenge paradox,†which states that revenge won’t lead to catharsis or healing but just more anger and hate. Even with this knowledge, he knows that he can’t rest until he finishes his plot. When Boyd and Jamie arrive in Cancún, they encounter a dark conspiracy and government corruption. It becomes a lot more complicated than Boyd had imagined.
