About Dramm The story of the Dramm Corporation begins with a single invention and the tenacity of one man. In the early 1940s, a florist named John G. Dramm invented a product that would ultimately become the cornerstone of the Dramm Corporation. It was a watering nozzle with 400 tiny holes that turned a high-velocity hose into a soft-flowing shower that's gentle on plants and new seedlings. Dramm's sons took over elements of the business after graduation, and Perdita, after retiring from her job as a school librarian in 1972, devoted herself full-time to the business until her death in 1996 at the age of 89.
