Duck Hunting Patent Prints
This self-propelled duck decoy was patented on January 22, 1963 by Frank Vanderpool. This duck decoy may be propelled while floating, at a slow rate of speed, to present a more realistic and natural appearance in the water and hence make a more efficient and attractive decoy to live ducks. It can be remotely controlled as, for example, from the shore, from a blind, or a boat or any other desired locality.
Thomas Sheridan patented his duck blind on June 9, 1959. His duck blind is easily adapted to most boats suitable for duck hunting, thereby obviating the necessity for a special hunting boat. He also wanted to provide a blind that is simple to assemble and disassemble.
On September 8, 1914 Amos C Vaughan patented his decoy. The object of the invention is to provide a decoy of simple construction that is desired to automatically give at predetermined intervals a call or cry. It is made of sheet metal and wood.
On July 25, 1905 Charles Ditto invented his version of the duck call. The duck call is of simple construction and adapted to be readily adjusted or tuned so as to imitate the voice of differents species of wild ducks.
