- Fabric Dye for use by hand with permanent results
- Ideal for dyeing smaller items such as blouses or tops, delicate fabrics such as wool and silk and for crafts such as tie-dye and batik
- Suitable for use on natural fabrics: cotton, linen and viscose, wool and silk. Lighter shades will be achieved on polyester/coton and polyester/viscose mixes. Not suitable for use on wool silk, synthetic fibres (e.g. polyester, acrylic, nylon) and fabrics with special finishes (e.g. waterproofing or fire resistant)
- Colour mixing rules apply (e.g. red dye on blue fabric will give purple).
- One pack will dye up to 8.80z (250g) of fabric (e.g. a shirt) to the full shade on the pack or larger amounts to lighter shades.
This pack is bursting with a whole spectrum of ideas & with DYLON you have all the colours of the rainbow to choose from. So, you can wake up your wardrobe, revive a faded top or brighten some cushion covers with colour, ease and permanent results you'll be proud of. DIRECTIONS 1. Fill bowl/stainless steel sink with approximately 6 litres of warm tap water, add 8.8oz (250g) of salt and stir well. 2. Dissolve contents of dye sachet in 500ml of warm water and add to dye bath. 3. Add clean, damp item to be dyed and, wearing rubber gloves, work the dye into the fabric for 15 minutes. 4. Stir occasionally for another 45 minutes then remove item from dye and rinse until water runs clear 5. Wash as usual to remove any excess dye Always read full instructions on pack before use.
