This is the U.S. Marine Corps most advanced load carrying main pack. It was designed for Infantry in a dismounted role for long distance movement and is the current model used by Marines. Main pack is pre-assembled with frame, hip belt, and shoulder harness assembly. Operator will only need to adjust the straps to their body for a comfortable fit. The FILBE has an internal zipper flap that separates the pack into two compartments. The upper compartment is 55 liters of space and typically carries heavier equipment for the best ergonomic load-bearing mobility. The bottom compartment is 26 liters of space, and is primarily used to carry sleeping gear. This compartment is accessible by an external zipper located at the bottom of the pack, so the user does not need to empty the upper portion of the main pack to reach the bottom compartment. The lid hosts a mesh pouch that is accessible from the exterior or interior with zipper openings. A standard radio harness is also located on the upper rear interior with a cleverly placed zipper that allows the operator to access the compartment of the pack without undoing the lid. Any gear packed into this model is secured by a draw cord located under the lid. Straps are strategically located to cinch the pack down after it has been loaded. Each strap has a Velcro retainer to secure loose and hanging straps.
