Traditionally made in Japan using Lundberg Family Farm organic brown rice, sea salt, and koji.
Traditionally made in Japan using Lundberg Family Farm organic brown rice, sea salt, and koji.
No artificial ingredients. A multipurpose liquid seasoning which enhances the natural food flavors and eliminates the raw fragrance of meat and fish. Imparts wonderful umami flavors.
Naturally sweet from the fermentation of rice using koji; a complex carbohydrate grain sugar, or maltose, pairs well with soy sauce (shoyu) for many marinades, sauces, dressings, and soups.
Mirin's alcohol content, about ten percent, quickly evaporates when cooked with food or may be removed by heating it to the boiling point, and allowed to cool before adding to uncooked foods if desired.
Eden Foods is a principled natural food company, est. 1968. Healthy soil, long-term organic, non-GMO, skilled growers and handlers; a reliable alternative to commercial food. Uncompromised, pure, most delicious nutrient rich foods.
A sweet liquid seasoning used to balance the salty flavors of soy sauce or miso in Japanese and other Asian cuisine. The highest quality mirin, referred to as 'Ajino-haha' in Japan. Made only with rice, rice koji (Aspergillus oryzae), water, and sea salt which are naturally and traditionally fermented.
