estimote proximity beacons are small battery driven computers accompanied with 2.4 GHZ Bluetooth low energy radios and additional sensors like: A high-end accelerometer with motion detection features, ambient temperature sensor and NFC. Beacons, attached to walls or objects, are sending a signal, which mobile apps can interpret. estimote proximity beacons offer long battery lifetime and are usually put on walls, tables, shelves and other static objects. With beacon support mobile apps can detect the smartphone coming in and out of beacon's range and trigger programmed reaction. estimote proximity beacons support beacon and eddy stone protocols, offer three years of battery lifetime with default settings and have a range of up to 70 meters. Our developer kit has been designed to allow fast and easy prototyping for mobile developers.
