This is the most common FBS actuator used on standard, single motor lift chairs in the last few years. This actuator has two leads, one male two (2) prong flat blade/round blade connector that plugs to a cord going to the transformer, and another female five (5) pin plug that the cord from the hand control plugs into. The most common problem with this motor is that the metal connector will break off on the end of the stroke tube that pushes the chair up & down. PLEASE NOTE: there are several different FBS actuators that have the LMD6208 designation; this one will replace many of these actuators, but not all. If your chair has two motors, this one may not be the correct one. Also, if the tube connector is not broken, and your motor is not even trying to run, IT IS VERY DOUBTFUL THAT THE MOTOR IS THE PROBLEM, AS THESE MOTORS HARDLY EVER GO OUT WHEN THEY ARE DEAD SILENT... We check each motor before it leaves our shop to make sure that it is running correctly, so if you get this motor, plug it in before you install it; and if it doesn't run, then the problem is elsewhere in the chair. Usually, the problem is in either the hand control or the transformer. If any questions at all, please let us know before you place your order.
