Be careful when removing the lower filter housing the first time. Use both a box end wrench on the nut and a strap wrench on the body the first time. Then grease the O-ring and you will be ok after that.
The micron of this filter is 5.Every 20-22k miles,these need to be changed.

Make sure you unscrew the cap on the filter on the frame under truck one complete turn, then bleed the fuel out. There is like a check valve that does not engage until you do that. When you are all done with both filters,you must cycle the key to the on position 6 times waiting approx 30 secs each time before trying to start truck. You can listen to the fuel pump complete its cycle each time.
Changing frame rail filter:
Remove sensor harness, and losses filter housing with a 1 1/4" socket or 32mm or use a strap wrench. You should use a strap wrench so you don't shear the plastic housing. Turn 3 TIMES then losses yellow drain valve and drain into suitable container. Remember to lube new o-ring and re install everything.
Chasing engine filter:
Remove the fuel line keepers on both lines and by pushing down the yellow tabs and the keeper will go down out of the way, the other fuel line will come off by squeezing both white tabs inward then remove. Loosen the 7mm nut and turn and lift the fuel filter and re install in reverse order.
Prime filters by turning the key a few times before starting.
