Fence Armor is made to protect the bottom of your fence posts from the damage caused by lawn care equipment. Tools like edge trimmers can chip away at the bottom of the posts and reduce the life of your fence. Fence Armor will protect each side of your fence posts with a layer of 22 gauge galvanized steel. Each box contains 10 pieces of 4\"x4\"(actually fits around 3.5\"x3.5\" posts) Fence Armor. This is enough to protect each side of five fence posts, or a single side of ten fence posts. Each Fence Armor piece has holes in the front and sides to allow for fastening with either nails or screws.Many other colors are also available.Be sure to measure your fence post before ordering. Fence Armor is available in both Nominal and Dimensional sizes:- Dimensional means that the peice is exactly 4\" x 4\" to attach to a 4\" wide post.- Some lumber is actually smaller than the size stated, because it is based on its measurements before being processed. For example, some 4\" x 4\" lumber actually measures 3.5\" x 3.5\".
