The Fire Cam MINI 1080 has an improved chipset and lens that is better in low light with a sharper image than the old Mini. It compares closely to the larger Fire Cam 1080. The new Fire Cam Mini 1080 has a one hour battery life (comes with 2 batteries) as where the Fire Cam 1080 has almost a 2 hour battery life (also comes with 2 batteries). Side by side videos, you can barely tell the difference between the two.

The Fire Cam Mini 1080 Fire Helmet Camera is the smallest High Definition Fire Helmet Camera we have designed yet. Recording in 1080p @ 30 fps AND can record 720p @ 60 fps High Definition modes, the Fire Cam Mini 1080 is made of heat resistant anodized aluminum with a heat resistant glass lens specifically designed for interior firefighting. The camera can take on temperatures upwards to 900F for short periods of time and is designed for interior firefighting. It is not designed for concrete training towers or flashover chambers where it could sustain high temps for long periods of time.
