Background of Product:
While the Fitbit Surge is an engineering marvel, the band experiences fatigue failure. Similar to the way a piece of metal will break after being bent back and forth repeatedly, the Fitbit Surge band experiences the same failure. Any replacement band that is manufactured similar to the original bands will fail similarly.

Design of the Pentogon Products Replacement Adapter:
A typical watch attaches the band to the watch using a band with pins, similar to our Adapter. The pins eliminate the fatigue failure at the stress point, since the band rotates at the pins. No stress is generated in a replacement band when pins are used. Repeated replacement of any band on a Fitbit Surge is not ideal (removing failed bands is a delicate process). Each disassembly of the FitBit Surge, puts the delicate electronics (Bluetooth and GPS Antennas) at risk of harm. With the Adapter we offer, only a single replacement should ever be needed. Other manufacturer's replacement bands could again fail (due to fatigue failure), and will require the delicate removal process, again.
