The Flashpoint Cold Shoe Extension with Smartphone Cradle Set lets you add traditional imaging gear, or the all-pervasive Smartphone, to a Flashpoint LightRing to provide professional lighting for capturing video clips, celeb interviews or self-posts to social media and blogs. The Cold Shoe Extension letsyou position the recording device in the center of the light ring for the best results, as the Light Ring design flatters your subject with shadow free wrap around illumination. The modular extension has two sections: A 2" post with a removable Â¼"x20 screw down cold shoe lock and a mini ball head that fits atop the post or accepts the cold shoe foot. You can use them together or separate them as needed. The small adjustable ball head securely holds lightweight cameras on its 1/4x20" screw. The Smartphone Cradle spring loaded clamping jaws open from 2 to 4 inches, holding most models of smartphone horizontally, with clear access to on screen controls.
