Flying Higher: The Women Airforce Service Pilots of World War II
The Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) of World War II earned their military wings and undertook hazardous, even dangerous flight assignments. To honor their service, the U.S. Congress passed and President Obama signed into law a bill awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to the WASP. These are the stories of their service.
