Calcium Hydroxide podwer: Commonly known as hydrated lime, slaked lime.
Appearance: white powdery solid with alkali taste and slightly bitter taste. CAS NO.: 1305-62-0, MF: Ca(OH)2; MW: 74.096;PH=12.4.
Slightly soluble in water. Soluble in glycerin, hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, and a saturated solution of sucrose, insoluble in ethanol.
Calcium Hydroxide is often used as an acidity regulator (PH regulator), moderator, neutralizer, and curing agent; it can be used as a coagulant for making konjac food.
Calcium hydroxide can also regulate the acidity and alkalinity of water, improve water quality, and benefit the growth and development of fish.
