Unexplained murders continue to plague Undercliff City, and even though he's not a cop, or affiliated with law enforcement in any way, the job of investigating falls to Victor Anders. He quickly discovers that the search calls for straightforward detective work in the place of his usual strategy of conjuring fire and influencing emotions. Unfortunately, he's also been assigned a bossy new partner with a chip on her shoulder.Â

Competition is healthy in small doses, and a little bit of workplace chemistry makes things interesting. But will it help or hinder them when it comes to solving the case?
