Originally released in 1991, â€˜The Forest Of Equilibriumâ€™ is the classic debut album from British Doom Metallers Cathedral. Cathedral formed in the early 90â€™s, bringing together Lee Dorrian (vocals, ex-Napalm Death) and Garry â€˜Gazâ€™ Jennings (ex-Acid Reign). In a move that shocked fans, Dorrian went from the worldâ€™s fastest band to arguably the slowest, as Cathedral set about bringing doom metal to the masses. Since the release this album has reached seminal status amongst fans and press as a timeless record in the doom genre including a coveted induction into Decibel Magazineâ€™s Hall Of Fame.
