Forgotten Towns of Southern New Jersey
In the 1930's, Henry Beck was state editor of the Camden Courier Post. Accompanied by a photographer, he visited thirty-odd Pine Barrens towns, still shown on the maps but existing only in the memories of a few old people and in nearly forgotten records. And so, Henry Beck sought out and listened to the few old people who remembered those abandoned towns, and why they were once more populous.
