Fotodiox presents the newest idea in LED lighting; the Flapjack LED Edge light. Instead of forward-facing LEDs like in a conventional panel, the Flapjack's LEDs are mounted around the outer edge, aimed inward at layers of diffusion material. Instead of the usual direct beam, the Flapjack's bounced light approach produces a soft, even glow with no hotspots.

Every Flapjack light runs on AC power or NP-F style rechargeable battery, both of which are included in the kit; a V-Mount battery pack can also be used for extended shooting (not included).The light is fully dimmable from 10-100%, and has both Tungsten and Daylight balanced LEDs which allow you to adjust from 3200k to 5600k with a twist of the dial. A back-lit LCD indicator shows light level, color temperature and battery life status.

The internally bounced light is easier on the eyes - your subject can look directly toward the light with no discomfort. Hide a Flapjack in a lamp to mimic an on-set practical light, or take advantage of the compact size to light up cramped spaces; like a car interior or an office cubicle. The Flapjack is also perfect for tabletop food or product photography. Enjoy the look of a big soft light without melting your subject!
Use the attached mounting yoke to attach the light to any 5/8" light stud. The yoke is also removable, revealing two built-in 1/4-20" mounting points. Finally, you can get more creative with light placement than ever before. The Flapjack lights produce little heat and have a very low current draw, several Flapjacks can easily be run on a conventional household circuit.
