Founded in 1937, the makers of Foustman's Salami are one of the oldest Salami companies in the San Francisco bay area and have remained small and family owned all these years. This is an all natural dry cured salami with no chemical nitrates! This uncured salami contains no added nitrates or nitrites, except those naturally occurring in celery juice and sea salt. UNCURED is a term created by the FDA that simply means that the product is free of chemical nitrates & nitrites. It does NOT mean that the salami is not dry cured. This salami will keep just as long as conventional dry salami. These are vacuum sealed under the brown paper. This is a shelf stable product. Refrigerate after opening.
