French Fries illustrates the duality of the Hot Sardines ethos: a hot jazzy mix of foot stompin' blues on one side, and on the other, string-filled elegance with lush orchestral ballads. Tracks include "Running Wild," from the 1959 classic, "Some Like It Hot" starring Marilyn Monroe, to a jazzy version of the 1985 smash, "Addicted To Love," made famous by the late Robert Palmer. A highlight of the album is "When I Get Low, I Get High," a duet with Miz Elizabeth & Alan Cumming.
