Control (No Chemical) Genetic Taste Test Paper Strips - For Use With PTC [Vial of 100 Strips]
The Frey Scientific 569885 PTC Taste Paper is a paper test strip for students to investigate genetically determined taste responses and to study genetic transfer of dominant and recessive genes and random segregation, is impregnated with phenylthiocarbamide (PTC) which detects the presence or absence of a single gene, and comes in a clear plastic stoppered vial for transport and storage. When the insoluble test strip is placed on the tongue, seven out of ten people detect a taste while the other three do not taste anything. The test strip measures approximately 1.5 x .25 inches (H x W). (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right.)
