Digitally remastered and expanded deluxe two CD edition. Fried was the second solo album by former Teardrop Explodes leader Julian Cope, released in 1984 by Mercury Records. Cope retained guitarist Steve Lovell (and guest oboe player Kate St. John) from the previous album, but added Donald Ross Skinner on rhythm and slide guitars, former Waterboys drummer Chris Whitten and former Mighty Wah guitarist Steve "Brother Johnno" Johnson. Notoriously, the sleeve featured a naked Cope crouched on top of the Alvecote Mound slag heap clad only in a large turtle shell. This version contains a bonus disc of B-sides and sessions as well liner notes by long time Cope publicist Mick Houghton in a 24 page booklet with rare photos and memorabilia.
