This book is a step by step action tutorial designed to teach creative people how to paint from a digital photograph using various software applications. This is not a book to read, it is a book to "do". It is a virtual classroom delivered wherever you are on your device of choice.

This book does not talk about the ins and outs of Corel Painter or Photoshop. It does show a specific technique using those software applications to create a beautiful piece of fine art. The videos that accompany this book are where the real value lies. You can view the videos on your reading device while you are following the steps in your own painting on your computer.

If you are totally new to computers this book may not be for you. It assumes that one can take images from their camera and upload those files to the computer then find them and open them in your photo editor of choice. If you can do that you should be fine even if you never have used Corel Painter before. Creating beautiful art takes time, you will not have a winner the first attempt, thank goodness. You will however be freed from software apprehension.
