When General Finishes first told us about this new water based urethane, to be honest, we were skeptical. However, after testing and using Enduro-Var all skepticism vanished as we realized this was not the typical water based top coat. First, Enduro-Varit uses a colored urethane resin which, like oil imparts a warm glow to wood that darkens or ages over time. Second, itÃ¢â‚¬TMs an air oxidizing, rather than a simple evaporative, finish which means exposure to air facilitates the cure. This curing process produces an incredibly tough finish that is suitable for any interior application, including floors.
