God’s Fruit in Me teaches children about the fruit of the Holy Spirit in a fun yet basic way. Through the use of illustrations and examples, God’s Fruit in Me takes each fruit identified in Galatians 5:22-23 and presents it to children on a level that is age appropriate. This is done through the use of examples that explore the simple challenges that young readers are likely to encounter. Not only are character building solutions provided to these challenges, but there is a reminder with each turn of the page that God still cares. With children receiving so many mixed messages about what they should value and who to become, God’s Fruit in Me illustrates that all children can have Godly character. Through illustrations with racially diverse characters, children can observe that God loves children from all different types of backgrounds and in various types of situations. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are taught as ways of showing that God’s fruit is in the child reader.
