Brake winch safety and solid construction at a more economical price than model B2503
175 lb minimum load for brake to operate properly
TUFFPLATE zinc finish provides protection against rust
9-3/8" handle with ergonomic molded grip
Many of the same design features as popular D-L trailer winches, but with some important differences. In a nutshell, these winches can be used for vertical ifting, whereas trailer winches are for horizontal pulling only. Brake winches have no ratchet, so they're always "in gear"..... there is no neutral, or free-wheel mode. A friction braking system is built in, so the load is always locked in place any time the handle is released.
