Gospel Music Hall Of Fame Series - 16 Songs Of Faith - The Fisk Jubilee Singers delivers classics with sterling vocals and breathtaking harmonies. The Fisk Jubilee Singers, associated with Fisk University in Nashville, TN is a historic ensemble, which popularized slave songs. The group has received various awards including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award bestowed on them by the National Arts Club in New York on March 6, 1996. The Jubilee Singers made appearances at the bicentennial celebration of the State of Tennessee and the opening of the Football Coliseum in Nashville. Being such a unique ensemble, the group continues to perform all around the world. The ensemble is made up each year of students of various disciplines at Fisk University and these students come from all over the U.S and abroad. The Songs of Faith music label is proud to have been honored to record and produce the noble group during a performance at the renowned Jubilee Hall on the Fisk University Campus during the early 1980 s.
