Designed for splitting chunks of wood, "rounds", this splitting axe features a thick part on the concave wedge shaped axe head which powers apart the grain of the wood. The poll is not designed for pounding on a wedge. Also features circular grooves at the grip, a steel collar and a grain-leather sheath. Backed by a 20-year manufacturer's warranty.
