When picking up a steel block, it will hold up to 35 lbs. On a handgun it varies due to the amount of metal surface it touches. Shotguns that have lots of flat metal to touch can easily be held by one magnet. Others, that have receivers and barrels will probably need two magnets to hold them up. You need to try it and test it.

Flat square metal back makes it ideal for installation with double sided tape, although we do not recommend installing it only with double sided tape (not included). Overtime the gun mount can fall off.
