When we swim in the ocean there is always the possibility of encountering a shark. We now know that the chances of being attacked by that shark are highly unlikely.
But in some parts of the world these attacks do occur. What interested this author are the things shark attack victims have done that got the great white shark and other so-called man-eaters to release them. What they did made the sharks literally spit them out. We all benefit from knowing what shark experts say about using these tactics. Also, the author tells us that not one of us go into the water defenseless. We each have a highly effective and always handy defense weapon with us once we know how to use it.
This short book describes some of these attacks and tells us what others have done to fight back against sharks, without even getting wet! Both pictures and text illustrate the success of these activities.
