Shakespeare 4188SL SS Rail Mount Ratchet for 1-Inch to 1-1/2-Inch rail
It's a common problem: you're at a marina, truck stop, or campsite, and while there is free (or cheap) Wi-Fi available, it doesn't extend past the front door of the office. Setting up the RedPort Halo Long Range Wi-Fi Extender on your boat (or truck, RV, etc.) means that you can capture that same Wi-Fi signal and use it - even up to miles away.
Once you've captured that long-range Wi-Fi, what do you do with it? Halo's included router takes that Wi-Fi internet connection and rebroadcasts it around your location. That means that you can connect to, say, a distant Marina Wi-Fi from the comfort of your boat, RV or truck. You can even have multiple smartphones, computers or tablets working at once for families, friends or work situations.
What won't it do? It can't connect to a Wi-Fi signal that doesn't exist or isn't strong enough.
Halo doesn't supply its own Internet - it can only extend a signal - whether that signal is fast or slow.
Ready for Marine and RV Extreme Environments
Rugged marine-grade materials stand up to the worst conditions on land or water. For ships, Halo's router works as an NMEA repeater to broadcast your NMEA data (GPS location, AIS, weather data) to your navigational software on your smartphones, tablets, or computers. And because it's a RedPort product, it even works with satellite phones when you're totally off the grid.
