The philosophy of the Hippo Hammock Strap is simply this: be easily adjustable, heavy duty, strong, long, lightweight, and compatible with any type of hammock.

The push-button cambuckle allows the length of the strap to be quickly and easily adjusted to the exact requirements of your location. We know it's not always easy to find trees set up at the perfect distance, and now you don't have to worry about it. Each strap is 10 feet long allowing sufficient distance between hammock supports. Unlike other hammock straps, you don't need to depend on multiple wraps around the tree, or adjustment loops, or knots.

Our straps are 100% polyester, weather resistant, and don't stretch.

Each strap has a weight capacity of 400 lbs (1,200 lbs break strength), so with two straps equally yoked that is a combined weight capacity of 800 lbs (2,400 lbs break strength).

That's not quite the weight of a hippo, but you get the point! Your mind can relax while you enjoy your hammock knowing the straps won't give out on you.

These straps are compatible with all types of hammocks. Suspending your hammock for the ultimate hang has never been easier. Simply follow these instructions:

Step 1 Press the cambuckle lever and feed the plain end through the cambuckle.

Step 2 Wrap the looped end of the strap around the tree (or other sturdy object). Poke the cambuckle end of the strap through the loop and pull snug.

Step 3 Connect hook to hammock.

Step 4 Depress the cambuckle lever to tighten or loosen the strap. Enjoy the hang!
