Handicapping Thoroughbreds - Lets Keep It Simple: Handicapping Horses Made Simple
Prior to reading any book on the subject of handicapping thoroughbreds, a person should know what qualifications that writer possesses and most important that he or she have a passion for what they do. I am one that strongly believes success breeds success, not only in handicapping but in the other aspects of life as well. Hopefully, I fit the definition of successful having been a Sr. Vice President of a very large conglomerate for over 20 years. My experience with thoroughbreds spans over 50 years and not only includes handicapping, but also breeding thoroughbreds in Kentucky and racing them in five states. My handicapping success includes winning the World Cup Of Handicapping with five additional top ten finishes in national competition.
Handicapping need not be a tedious and time consuming chore absent of all fun. Speaking very honestly, there are basic factors that you must know to be a winner at the races. I promise your learning them will not be over burdening by any means. Knowing the basic important handicapping information, and applying what I hope you take from me, will culminate in you being a winner betting thoroughbreds. To be successful, at anything, requires time and effort of the part of a person. I wrote this book in a very easy to understand manner for the purpose of educating handicappers of all levels on the essentials horse racing. Today's handicapping process is over cooked, without question, given the excessive number of reports being sold that have little to no meaning for selecting winners. I will explain how such excessive information can be misleading and taint your selections. My approach in presenting only the important ingredients of successful handicapping has been done in a way that once you have read the information, once or twice, you will easily recall and easily be able to apply it. So, how do I know my approach works? I bet thoroughbreds as my primary source of income and live what I believe to be a very good life doing so. Last, ten years ago I designed my own software handicapping product, Fox Powers, that I originally used for my own personal betting, but are now available to the public on my website, www.turfrace.net. You are welcome to visit the site and view a Fox Powers race card. Let's get to work, or should I say have some fun, and discuss what will get you in the winner's circle more often. Ray Fox
