Unlike mattress protectors that only cover the top and sides, this encasement also prevents bedbugs, dust mites and other invaders from entering through the underside. It pulls on like a pillowcase and zips closed to provide a complete barrier. Even the small opening at the top of the zipper is sealed with a Velcro flap.
