Highly detailed 1/48 scale assembly model kit of the Mitsubishi F1M (Allied codename "Pete"), a World War II Japanese reconnaissance seaplane. Introduced in 1941, the F1M was originally intended as a catapult-launched reconnaissance floatplane for the Imperial Japanese Navy; however, the F1M proved to be highly versatile and were used as fighter, anti-submarine aircraft, maritime patrol plane, and rescue and transport aircraft. The F1M even mixed-it-up with Allied fighters in dogfights over the Aleutians, the Solomons and several other theaters. This Hasegawa 1/48 scale assembly kit features the F1M2 variant, the 2-seat reconnaissance version used by the Imperial Japanese Navy, and the kit features completely new tooling with parts to construct 60kg bombs and a dolly (also can be used as a display platform). Decals for 4 versions included: 1) I.J.N. NAP 4/C Kiyomi Katsuki / NAP 2/C Michiho Takarada Code: Y1-23 Seaplane Carrier Chitose The Solomon Islands Oct., 1942 . 2) I.J.N. NAP 4/C Ryoji Asanuma / NAP 1/C Michiho Takarada Code: L-2-11 Seaplane Carrier Kunikawa Maru The Solomon Islands Jan.,1943. 3) I.J.N. 951st N.F.G. Code: Sa 951-8 Sasebo A.B. Summer 1945.
